The Popkomm, a genuine meeting of the music industry, took place in Berlin this week. Kaizers were one of several Norwegian bands that contributed some rythmic popular music.

Kaizers Orchestra have played a lot in Germany the last years, and it is obvious that the band left an impression. Thursday night, the Kesselhaus was full and the atmosphere was hot.

- At these music business meetings, there is always some danger that the atmosphere will be a little stiffer than at ordinary concerts, music people aren't necessarily the ones that let themselves get caught in the action, but it was a great atmosphere on Thursday, the Jackal Kaizer tells us.

There has been a lot of talk about Kaizers Orchestra at the Popkomm, as an example that it is possible to reach big goals even if, on the paper, it seems like the band is an obscurity that cannot be sold, which is what you probably need to say about a Norwegian singing ompa rock band.

- So, did you do something else down there?

- We were at the Norwegian stand on the fair that was driven by Music Export Norway, and there was a lot of activity all the time, meetings and music exchange and good atmosphere. And it's always good to meet up with our two Daniels from Universal Germany, Lieberberg and Pieper. We met with them and talked a little about the future. I think it is inspiring to talk with good people about the next step in the Kaizer career, and it is good to get feedback from people who belong to some other market.
