He is Norway's shortest stand-up comedian, with his 1.28 meters, but that doesn't prevent Vidar Letho from spreading big joy.So Kaizers Orchestra decided for a stand-up artist as support for the Norwegian part of the upcoming "250 Prosent Tour". Vidar Letho will be support at all shows except for Sentrum Scene, Haugesund and Ås.
- We care about putting together a good night for our audience. It doesn't really matter whether you juggle, play guitar, tame horses or tell jokes, as long as you deliver good entertainment, and Vidar does that, Rune Kaizer from the event committee says.
He, Helge, and Janove know Letho from Bergen, where they went to the teaching school together in the 90s. An education that lead to all of them becoming... uhm, musicians.
Except for being humorist, Letho is also guitar player. He has toured in the USA with Turbonegro before, as a "mini me" version of Hertis, and has his share of experience in the rock business. He is looking forward to the rather unusuals gig.
- Stand-up is rock'n'roll! This will be cool!
- Alone on a big stage, lots of people in the audience, everybody would shrink from this conditions?
- Yes, of course this can be brutal surroundings, but it will go fine, you just need to keep on going, the comedian who claims to have smelled Dr. Greve more often than anybody else says.
- Actually, we take him along because he only needs half of the hospitality rider, Rune Kaizer comments, followed by a whinnying laughter.
- By the way, do you know what an average drummer gets on an IQ test? Vidar asks.
- Uh, no.
- Drool.
Ouch! But well, check Vidar out on YouTube here!
