Kaizers-Fans have lately been asking questions about Janove's solo project. The Kaizers administration put the frontman on the lie detector.

- Have you voluntarily agreed to this interview?

- No.

- OK. He speaks true.

- Why do you want to go solo?

- I have put aside songs in the singer/songwriter-style since Ompa came out. Now I realized that some of the songs are impossible to hold back(?). That's why I wish to bring out a record and see whether the songs can also live outside my head. Furthermore, I'm 28 now and I'd like to prove myself alone before it is too late. One lives but once and so on.

- Will that influence Kaizers Orchestra's plans for concerts or studio?

- No, absolutely not. The Kaizers family has never been bigger and we have never put more in than now. Ompa has been out for seven months in Europe, and now there's Evig Pint coming. We will play over a hundred live shows this year too. Most of them abroad, but also some at home. The plan for next year is that we make a third record and release it in all countries at the same time. Other projects like my own come after our dear Orchestra's imperturbable plans - not before.

- Will those who like your Kaizers songs also like your solo material?

- Who knows? But if you meant to ask whether my music is similar to Kaizers' music, the answer is no. We're not talking about a record with Kaizers B-material. There are some who think that I can only make strange alternative music that's sung in Norwegian and that I do strange things just for sake of strangeness. That's also a misunderstanding. I love music of all kinds and arrange songs in the way that makes them the best possible music. Let us stick with that. Some of the Kaizers songs sound bad if they are played straight and perfectly. My solo-songs are different. They will be played best with a traditional instrumentation.

- OK. We have found out what we wanted to know. And the lie detector only lightened up red when you spoke about the Kaizers songs getting worse when played straight.
