Below is some information about the Kaizers year 2005, coming from Kaizers' manager Eivind Brydøy.

New record, single and music video

The recording of Maestro (which will probably be the title of the new record) will soon be finished. Among the guest musicians we find a group of wonderful gpysies that were in the studio last week.

The release date is August 15 in Scandinavia, and probably around the same time in Germany. In Norway, the record will be given out by Kaizers' own company and will be distributed by Sonet/Universal. In the rest of Europe, it will be given out by Universal.

To the delight of vinyl fans, Maestro will also come out as vinyl! And CD fans needn't worry about having to become lawbreakers to copy the music to the iPod, Maestro will come out without copy control.

There will be a single in Germany, probably at the end of May. Working with a new webshop, this single can also be purchased via internet. There will also be a radio single in Norway, probably just before that.

Additionally, a music video for one of the songs will be shot.

Concerts

Kaizers will play a few festival concerts in summer, mostly in countries that haven't received salvation yet, as France and hopefully England and the Glastonbury festival. The tour in connection with the record will probably start beginning of September, starting in the biggest places in Norway before Europe gets its share for some weeks, and after that some more concerts in Norway.

Prekestol concert

There will be a 15-20 minute programm put together from the concert. This will be used for the promotion of the record.

DVD

The DVD will contain the promo programm from Prekestolen, together with several more clips shot before the concert (preparations, practicing in a hall, etc). It will also include a clip from the studio work for the new record and many other treats. The release date has not been fixed yet, but hopefully the DVD will come out until or just after Christmas.

So there's a lot to look forward too, and we have just heard that this is the best record Kaizers have ever made!
