- Just in time to get ready for the release, here's a rough overview of the first news of 2011! If you are following kaizers_kj on Twitter, you might have read most of it already (thanks to Lena for keeping everyone up-to-date!), but here's all the news in one place:
- There are two new concert/gig dates: Kaizers Orchestra will play at the award ceremony of the Spellemannpris (the Norwegian Grammy) on March 5. On May 6, they will play at Landstreff in Stavanger (a party for all Norwegian school graduates).
- The two tour dates in Switzerland (3/30 Zurich, 3/31 Bern) have been confirmed now. That leaves the following dates open: 4/1 (maybe Schaffhausen?), 4/3 (probably Milan), 4/4 (probably off-day), and 4/8 (Copenhagen, if an additional concert makes sense).
- The German version of the song "En for orgelet, en for meg", featuring Prinz Pi as guest rapper, is available now. You can listen to it here or buy it for example at Amazon - probably only if you live in Germany, though.
- NRK P3 Sexy (a Norwegian radio show) is electing the "top 5 Kaizers songs" this week. Check out the list here; the first place will be announced tomorrow!
- Geoff Berner announced that he will support Kaizers at their concert at Oslo Spektrum, April 9.
- This concert is NOT sold out yet, even though there tend to be rumors about it. If you are lucky, you can still get standing room tickets as well, but they are not always available, it seems.
- A reason for the "sold out" rumor might be this article. It's about the promotion company that did the Hjerteknuser cover competition. They won an award for this campaign - and this is well-deserved! Even though they went over the top a bit by claiming the Oslo concert sold out... =;-)
