Last weekend, Kaizers Orchestra took control over Denmark! The fans were really enthusiastic about the four concerts (Gaffa was not =;-)). And besides the concerts, Kaizers Orchestra also delivered some news: In spring of 2012, there will be a Kaizers musical in Denmark as well! You can check out the details here, for example, or in this video (which you might enjoy even if you don't understand Norwegian or Danish... *g*). To put it short, the theater play will be based on the first three Kaizers records, just like "Sonny". It's not clear from the reports though whether the play will be a translated version of Tore Renberg's Norwegian theater play or a separate production. (Update: According to this article, the Danes bought the rights to the Norwegian play, so it's probably the same play.) It is clear, however, that the play will be called "Maestro" and that the songs will be played by four Danish musicians - because the songs will be in Danish. The play will premiere on March 1st, 2012, in Aarhus. After that, the play will be shown in Aalborg and Herning.

And now some short news (most of them old news for those who follow kaizers_kj on Twitter):
  • On kaizers.no, Kaizers reported about the upcoming European tour and introduced their support act Jarle Bernhoft. By the way, in addition to Jarle Bernhoft, Geoff Berner will warm up at the last concert of the European tour in Oslo on April 9.
  • Another tour date has been added: Kaizers Orchestra will play at Manufaktur in Schorndorf (close to Stuttgart) on April 1st.
  • The concert in Milano, however, will not happen on this tour ... =:-(
  • Lo-Fi Merchandise now offers the new Kaizers merch!
  • You can watch Kaizers Orchestra's performance(s) at Spellemann on YouTube: The sun always shines on TV, Hjerteknuser
  • I finally managed to write the second part of my Violeta Violeta Vol. I impulse review. So enjoy!
