By now, there's some more information about how the new single and further songs will be spread among the fans. This is what the press release says:
Norway's currently biggest band is known for new and innovative ways of promoting their music. Now, they put the responsibility for launching their next album on the fans, at first on one selected fan.

"We dare to say that we have the most loyal fanbase in Norway. To thank for 11 years of keeping up with us, we want that the fans will get access to the new songs first and that they participate in deciding when the songs and the album will be released", the frontman of the band, Janove Ottesen, says.

Instead of releasing the first single of Violeta Violeta Volum III on the radio and for sale, Kaizers Orchestra will give the single to one selected person. This person is then responsible to share the song by being physically close to others. Every person who gets the song can pass it on the same way. When enough people have gotten the song, a new song from the album will become available.

Via kaizervirus.com, the band searched for this person yesterday. In just 20 minutes, #kaizersvirus was one of the most popular hashtags in Norway, and in less than a day, more than 600 fans have applied for getting the song first. The deadline for applications is September 18th.
