Tomorrow, Violeta Violeta Vol. III will finally be in the stores! To celebrate the release, there will be an exclusive release party tomorrow night in Oslo. Tickets for this party/concert are given away via various sources, so keep checking if you haven't been lucky yet! The first reviews of Vol. III are coming in and are very positive. I'll list all reviews here in the upcoming days and weeks. If you find a review that is not listed there yet, let me know! And of course you can find all lyrics and translations of Vol. III here starting tomorrow.

As usual, the album will be released in different versions: The CD will be out as limited edition in a Digipak and as normal edition in a jewel case. The vinyl version (a double vinyl because of the length) will be out in black vinyl and in a strictly limited edition in white vinyl. In addition, the album will be available for download and streaming. You can read all about the different versions on kaizers.no.

In the same news bit, you can read about the reasons why the album will not be available abroad until January 25. A release abroad takes more time, because the promotion is different. Also, they wanted to avoid releasing the album around Christmas (because this is when all the "big" artists release their stuff, and so there's too much other music on the market). All this is absolutely understandable, but it's quite an ordeal for all fans from abroad! Of course you can choose to order the album in Norway to get to hear the songs as soon as possible (at least if you live in Europe; it's even harder for fans from other continents, unfortunately). If you want the limited edition of the CD or the vinyl version, this is your only chance anyway, because the album will be available abroad only in the jewel case version. Keep in mind, however, that if you buy the album in Norway, this will not be counted as a sold record in your country, but as a sold record in Norway. So it doesn't influence the sale numbers in your country, and the more Kaizers sell abroad, the more influence they have, which might be reflected in better conditions or more concerts/festivals/etc. Of course, this might not be the most important argument at the moment, because Kaizers will take a break following Vol. III. So you will have to decide for yourself where you want to buy the album. And if you are unsure... just buy it twice! =;-)
  • In Europe, you can order the CD from cdon.com: Limited Edition, Jewel Case
I'm not aware of any way to buy the CD from countries outside Europe. If you find out: let me know!
  • The black vinyl version is available for example from cdon.com, The Garden, and Big Dipper. Officially, Big Dipper doesn't sell abroad, but I've heard that they do if you send them an email.
  • The white vinyl version will be sold only in the stores. kaizers.no lists which stores carry the LP. The list includes The Garden and Big Dipper - it might help to send them a mail to ask. If not all copies are sold within ten minutes anyway...
  • It seems like the digital version is available from everywhere through GubeMusic.
In addition to Vol. III, the new Kaizers Orchestra photo book "Blitzregn 02-12" will be out tomorrow. If you want to order that one from abroad, it will probably be a rather costly affair:
  • haugenbok.no seems to be the best option: they offer the book for 349 NOK, and shipping is 131 NOK (Europe) or 193 NOK (outside Europe).
  • ARK sells the book online for 350 NOK. You will need to add 200 NOK for shipping abroad (150 NOK for Scandinavia).
  • Norli offers the book online for 349 NOK plus 200 NOK for shipping as well.
  • The publisher Cappelen Damm lists the book at 399 NOK, but the shipping cost is a bit lower with 148 NOK (for Germany, might be different for other countries).
Happy shopping to all of you!
