Big news today! It looks like one of the concerts at the opera in Oslo will actually be filmed. "It looks like it" and hasn't been decided yet because the recording will be financed through crowdfunding. Which means: We, the fans, preorder the DVD or Blu-Ray, and if enough people are interested, it will actually be produced. For preordering we will not get the normal edition that will also be sold in the stores later, but we'll get a Limited Edition with a special cover. And in addition, it will even be signed by the band! 40 Euro for the DVD or 50 Euro for the Blu-Ray isn't all that cheap, but it will surely be worth it. The link to the project is http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/kaizersorchestra, and you can also read about it on kaizers.no. A short explanation for those who don't know what crowdfunding is: If you "pledge" 10 Euro, you will get an audio download of the concert. If you want more than that, you can choose: For 40 Euro (or a bit more, depending on where you live) you will get the DVD in addition to the audio download. The DVD will be mailed out around June. For 50 Euro, you get the audio download and the Blu-Ray. In addition, you can order a limited Vol. III poster. In this case, you pay 44 Euro and get the audio download and the poster (but no DVD or Blu-Ray). But of course you can also combine several options. Whichever option you choose: You will pay only if the project succeeds - and this seems pretty likely, because 75% of the minimum goal were reached within a few hours already. The project will run until January 26 or until all 2000 DVDs, 300 posters, and 500 Blu-Rays are sold - even if the minimum goal is reached before that. In that case, 10% of the additional money will be donated to UNICEF! So: join in!

The concert that will be recorded is the matinee concert at 4 p.m. on January 26, 2013. All the other concerts at the opera are sold out already, but you can still buy tickets for this show.

And if you want to get a first idea of what the concerts at the opera might be like, check out Kaizers Orchestra's performance of Begravelsespolka at DRs Store Juleshow - including a tap dance! Don't be confused because it's not Rune on the drums, but Tarjei Strøm. Daddy Rune had other business that day... =;-)
