Yesterday, the Spellemann awards were given out in Stavanger - these awards are the Norwegian version of the Grammys. And Kaizers were the big winners! They were nominated in two categories: "Årets innovatør" (innovator of the year) for the Kaizervirus campaign and "Årets musikkvideo" (music video of the year) for Begravelsespolka. Both these awards were given out based on an internet voting. Kaizers were beaten in the innovator category, but they did win the award for the best video. And that's not all - in addition, Kaizers Orchestra took home the probably most prestigious award that was given out, namely "Årets Spellemann", a challenge trophy that goes to the best artist every year. Congratulations, that's a well-deserved award!
Of course there was a lot of coverage about the awards in the media. For a start, check out this P3 article, which contains video clips of the award ceremony, interviews, and the live performance, and the video of Kaizers' press interview after they received the award on Aftenbladet TV.

Kaizers will take a little break from touring the next couple of days, until they start the final round of club shows after Easter. The highlight and the last club show will be in London on April 25 - and this concert is sold out by now, with 1600 tickets sold. Wow!

If you're looking for something to read during the Easter vacation, check out the tour report section. Thanks to Lena, there's a new report there from the last of the concerts in Trondheim - thanks so much to Lena, and enjoy reading! And if you want to publish a report on this site as well, just send it in! =:-)
