Happy Easter! To celebrate the day (or maybe not *g*), Kaizers Orchestra announced the fifth and last concert in Stavanger: in addition to the 14th, 13th, 12th, and 7th of September, they will also play at DNB Arena on September 6. Tickets are already on sale. Stavanger Aftenblad has a few interesting things to report about the Siste Dans concerts in Stavanger. To give a quick summary:
  • All in all, there will be nine concerts - five of those are open to the public, four are closed/private.
  • The closed concerts are for the sponsor DNB, for the schools in Stavanger, and fund-raisers for UNICEF.
  • A total of 27.500 tickets are (or were) out for sale. Including the closed concerts, Kaizers will play in front of almost 50.000 spectators.
  • There will be several support acts at the concerts, and these will be "top Norwegian live bands".
  • In addition, there will be other "segments". Which means that "things will be happening in the hallway, the foyer, and all around" - this cryptic information is all Kaizers want to tell.
  • The ice hockey arena will be turned into a ballroom, and the whole hall will be covered with red velour.
  • Instead of a video wall on stage, there will be a gigantic video screen covering the ceiling.
  • There's more in store, but they don't want to tell ...
Wow, sounds exciting! And the amazing part is that it's not April 1st today ... =:-o
