- News about the DVD: According to the latest updates on PledgeMusic and Instagram, the "Live from the Norwegian Opera House" DVD and BluRay is now finally in production. Kaizers will sign the preordered copies during the week they play in Stavanger, and the orders will be mailed out on September 13. The DVD/BluRay will also be available in the stores, but not until December.
In case you're wondering how to pass the time while waiting, the local Norwegian TV station TV Vest has the solution for you: They are currently broadcasting the documentary series Siste Dans about Kaizers, with a new episode coming out each Tuesday. It's all in Norwegian, but there are discussions to release the series with subtitles later on. But even if you don't understand anything, the episodes are worth watching!
Last weekend, Kaizers displayed their athleticism - after playing a concert in Harstad and getting only an hour of sleep, they cycled 6:20 hours and 152 kilometers through Western Norway to raise money for UNICEF. Stavanger Aftenblad has more information about the race, including the finish line photo. Currently, Kaizers Orchestra are in Warsaw to shoot scenes for the "Accidental Rockstar" movie, together with the fans that bought walk-on parts. This upcoming weekend, a few more festivals are on the schedule (and in addition to that, there will be the release concert of the Kriegsensemble). And then it's time for the very final round of concerts ... You can still cast your votes for the songs you want Kaizers to play there - without any guarantee that they will actually play any of those songs, of course, but who knows; they might at least take a peek at your preferences! =;-)
