Kaizers guitar player Geir Zahl, aka GeezaProductions, left the Kaizercam running during the recording of Violeta, Violeta Volume 1. Now you can see the result!

The roughly 12 minutes long documentary "The making of Volume I" is now available on Youtube! This is the guitarist's third film about the band he plays in. Earlier on, he shot Die Polizei, which deals with the recording, mixing, and the story around the song Die Polizei, and the road documentary Våre Demoner Week, about the club tour the band did in conjunction with the release of their b-sides album Våre Demoner in 2009.

What distinguishes this documentary from the previous two, Geeza?

- Well, it goes a bit in the same direction, because you have the same people in the main roles and the same fly on the wall approach. But having said that, there are major differences as well. The Die Polizei documentary was slow and tried to show in a way that it is not as sexy to be in the studio as you might think by watching MTV. There's a little more speed in Våre Demoner, which isn't surprising considering life on the road. In The Making of Violeta, it hopefully shows that I have learned from the previous two and become a little better. It is more efficient and to the point, I think.

- Slightly more professional now?

- It's still very much an amateur thing that we talk about here. I have only a normal little HD camera, and I don't use external sound- or light help. But I think I caught some nice moments and got a nice rhythm in the cut this time, and regarding the content, I still do a tentatively nice combination of factual material and kidding, info and humor.

- You play in the band, so this is probably as close as you can get?

- Well, I guess that depends, but you definitely get a feeling of being in the studio with Kaizers through this documentary, and I cut away all the waiting for you, hehe.
