Sorry - nur auf Englisch...As certain as the year is drawing towards its end, the nominations for the Alarmprisen come out. This year, Kaizers are nominated for best live band.
For those who didn't know, Alarm is a Norwegian music prize that is given out for the seventh time on Jan. 21 next year at Sentrum in Oslo.
The artists are nominated by a jury of Norwegian music journalists. The audience then votes for the winners of each category.
So now, Kaizers are nominated for the prestigious award together with, among others, Turbonegro and the hard-core band Purified In Blood, from Stavanger. We just mention, boastfully, that Kaizers received two Alarm awards in 2001, then for the rock record of the year and live band of the year, and that was so nice that we ask our fans to make use of their democratic right to vote for us this time also.
Kaizers Orchestra also want to take the chance to congratulate the "blood-fan" Henning Klokkeråsen for his nomination for the "fan of the year" award that will be given out for the very first time during next year's Alarmpris award. Henning is in charge of the extremely nice and informative fansite www.drmowinckel.com that most Kaizerfans know. So vote for Henning!
