Tonight, Kaizers Orchestra will be on stage at the concert house in Stavanger. And also in Stavanger, they will play their last concert on September 14! The last concert altogether? The last concert before the break? There are no plans how long the break will be and if and how the band will continue afterwards. So let's enjoy the last months with Kaizers - and plan the trip to Norway, more precisely Stavanger! Here's the press release about the last concert:
Kaizers Orchestra ask for a last dance!

September 14, 2013 it's time for their last blow.

There's an end to everything, even to the adventurous Kaizers epiphany that has infested our country for the last 12 years. The final concert on Saturday, September 14, at the DNB Arena in Stavanger will be the last chance to see this rock phenomenon live one last time, before the oil drums fall silent. Maybe not forever, but at least for a while.

After 12 years, eight albums, and nearly 1000 concerts, this will be the end for now, for the band that has given Ompa rock shocks to all of Europe for over a decade. A triumphal career of a band will be topped with a festive evening in the place that usually houses the Stavanger Oilers hockey team, but that will be converted to a Kaizers lounge for this occasion. Kaizers Orchestra promise an exceptional evening and invite their faithful friends to an unforgettable conclusion party and a grand summarization of an extraordinary career.

- I dread and I'm looking forward to the last gig with these guys. We have gone through the war together and created some unbreakable bonds. There will be both laughter and tears on stage and in the audience that evening, Janove Ottesen says.

- There are six captains on this Kaizer ship that will now be sunk with flying colors, and all will go down with it! he concludes.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, February 8, at 9:00 am.
And for those who didn't hear about the break before, here's the link to the interview where Janove first announced the break. And by the way, in an interview with Aftenbladet, Kaizers mention that there might be additional concerts if the last concert is sold out - but they will be before the last one, of course. =;-)

Update: If you do now understand Norwegian, you can now read the translation of the Aftenbladet interview!
