Yesterday, May 25, it was time for a one night only special in Bryne at the festival "Jærnåttå". Three Kaizers performed as solo artists on the same stage that night. The first one out was Kaizers frontman and chief-jackal Janove Ottesen. He performed alone at the piano and played songs from his solo album Francis' lonely nights.
- I like to use the piano when I play alone. It fills the sound pattern better and gives a slightly different feeling than the acoustic guitar has, so I think it was good today. And I finished early as well!
Geir Zahl had his backingband with him and went on after Janove had played his set.
- We had a substitute on drums today, and as it is been a while since we've played together, we had a practice at Lye's place in Randaberg yesterday to find our form. And we found it alright I think. Big fun playing in Bryne again. Me and Janove have been born and raised here, so we meet lots of known people.
The last man on stage that night was Ted Winters and his Klepp-boys (minus Bones from Hammerfest) of Skambankt.
- Terrific to have a separate fridge backstage, so I don't need to share with Janove and Geir, hehe. No, this is a fun thing here, we have to honor Erling Dagsland and the Jærnåttå board for putting together a unique Kaizerless Kaizernight. We had lots of fun.
