Sorry - nur auf Englisch...A fantastic spectacle awaited the play-hungry Kaizers yesterday evening at Arenum. 3200 Kaizers enthusiasts in party mood created an unbelievable setting around a really hot concert!
- It's great that we got it started now! Janove Kaizer is a relieved man now that he is walking around Bergen's rainy streets the day after the first concert of the tour.
- It was an unbelievable kick to come on stage in front of such a big and enthusiastic audience. We had a very intense and great time! A lot of fun to play new and old songs again for the Kaizers audience!
- The first night of the tour, and strong opinions about it. Stavanger Aftenblad and the Bergen papers give 5 stars, while the press from the capital is sceptical?
- Yes, in today's reviews it seems that there are two different views there, as normal for us, you could probably say. What is funny is that exactly the things for which Dagbladet and VG deduct points are the same things the other papers are praising us for. We ourselves don't agree with those who want us to be the crazy circus/gypsy band from 2001. It is weird to read that we were so crazy and "mad" before and that now we are so "curried". It seems more like a logical conclusion than an actual observation. We very deliberately have variation and dynamic in our show. Some understand and like this, like for example BT, while others criticize us for this and rather want to have us on a one-dimensional crazy-track. But everybody's got to have a strong opinion, and there you can choose if you want a plus or a minus sign in front of the answer. In any case, we only do what we think is best, and it seems that the audience agrees with us!
- Stein Østbø gave 4 stars after the Maestro tour opening concert at Folken in 2005, and then he saw you again two weeks later at Rockefeller and admitted that he had been wrong and gave too little stars in Stavanger. Maybe that will happen again?
- He he, probably. Some are just a bit slower in understanding than others. In any case, there was no doubt about the audience having a great time yesterday, and this is the most important part for us! Now the rest of the tour is between us and them! We are looking forward!!
