Ted Winters' blood-dripping and bone-breaking rock band, Skambankt, release their third album today, "Hardt regn"!Together with his old friends from Klepp, Don Fist and Hans Panzer, and Bones Wolsman from Hammerfest, Ted hoists the rock flag today. First reviews have given high ratings, the last video has been made by "Mannen som elsket Yngve"-director Stian Kristiansen, and soon the band will go out on a tour through Norway and Denmark!
- We feel that we have made our best album so far, so it's just natural to follow it up with lots of concerts!
- You spent a lot of time with Kaizers Orchestra last year, Skambankt was put on hold, the guys are probably hot to play again now?
- The Kaizer-ship was out on a pretty heavy cruise last year, yes, now it is in the roads for a bit, so now is the time to dust off the Marshall stacks and fuzz pedals and prepare to get hoarse!
- You won't get exhausted by being on the go so much?
- As long as you have variation in what you are doing, it's fine. Apart from that, it's not that much "going" as people might think. My experience is that it is exhausting to do the same thing over and over again, for very long, this is when you lose your nerves. We take care that this doesn't happen in Kaizers, where everybody has other, more or less visible, projects going on in parallel to Kaizers. Skambankt offers me other challenges. It is a much smaller operation, less touring, but at the same time we need to care about more things ourselves, and then of course there's other people in the band, with all the variation this causes - and frustration, he he. Also, I am the main song writer and singer in Skambankt, this gives it a different angle as well.
