This has been a pretty hectic and partly also chaotic week so far for Kaizers' newborn old demons. The demand for the album "Våre Demoner" has been formidable, and one store after the other reported empty shelves. There is still some uncertainty regarding what, how many and where records can be obtained, so we decided to check with Petroleum Records himself, Rudolf Reim.- We knew very well that this kind of sales strategy that we put up here has some practical and logistical limits that would pose some challenges. This here is a bit of an "out-of-the-ordinary" type of launch, so of course it will lead to some confusion.
- A lot of eager buyers reported desparately that they couldn't get hold of records, what can you tell them?
- This will be resolved, you will get your records! We knew and informed all the time that it could be difficult to serve all stores to 100% regarding re-orders, so this is why we asked to calculate the first order very well. The release has become an unbelievable success, and the audience has really lunged at the CDs from the first day of the sale. The first print of 6000 copies was basically snatched away, and we have already sent out 2000 further copies - all in all, much more than was pre-ordered. Most of the stores got the CD in, but unfortunately, a few had to wait for them. We have worked hard, but still we didn't manage to deliver to all as fast as we would have wished, so this is why some stores didn't get any records before today. This is why we decided to extend the sale period for two days, so that everybody gets the chance to sell the album for seven days, as was the intention.
So there are records out there, and it is possible to buy them up to Wednesday, May 6!
