Everything is set for the summer season for Kaizers Orchestra, which means festivals all over the country!

- After the fantastic final concert of the tour at Spektrum on April 9, where we gathered 9000 wild Kaizer fans under one roof, we're looking forward to playing on more big stages all around the country. The summer festivals are certainly a highlight, it's a bit of May 17 (the Norwegian National Holiday, translator's note) and New Year's Eve at the same time, just with better weather conditions, and it's big fun to be part of it, Janove Kaizer says, who knows what he's talking about after 10 years in the summer festival business.

- Strictly speaking, you've played only six concerts in Norway this year, so you've still got a bit of work to do to cover the whole country?

- Yes, we kept it to a minimum since we wanted to gather all people under one roof at the Spektrum gig, but now we'll cover our whole elongate land with the 12 festival gigs that we have lined up for the summer. We'll start tomorrow already at the northern end, with a concert at Helt Rått festival in Narvik. The summer probably hasn't quite taken hold there yet, but we'll play in a tent, so I guess that will be great anyway!

- Highlights of the summer?

- This summer consists almost entirely of highlights, this is what's so special about it, but the most special concert of the summer for our part will be the Øya concert on August 11, of course, where we will premiere the entire Volume II. The album won't be out until November, so basically we will play a whole album in front of an audience that never heard the songs before. This will be a special experience, I think. But such challenges are exciting, and we have a strong belief in Volume II, so this will be fun.

As said, the festival summer will start in Narvik today, and it will continue at the end of next month with a show at Jærnåttå in Bryne, then there's the summer festival in Førde on June 4 before the gang heads to Hove festival for the first time in their career the weekend after.
